Grassington Village Hall – Wedding Photography with Personality, Glamour and Emotion!

A Grassington Village Hall Wedding – whilst slightly out of my usual stomping ground – was too hard to resist! Liz and Martyn had an absolute corker of a day on Easter Saturday 2022. They chose The Devonshire Institute in the pretty, typcially English village of Grassington for their celebrations. I’d never been to this area before but it’s absolutely beautiful – it has a timeless, film-set feel, which was perfect for Liz and Martyn’s movie star vibe style.

I’ve shot many a lovely village hall wedding, and this was certainly no exception. It had all the cute homemade touches and individuality that come as a reward for not choosing a venue that does weddings day in and day out, but, perhaps more unusually, they also managed to create a suave, luxe Hollywood feel throughout the day.

Gem at Rock and Wreath did the most beautiful job with the flowers, really bringing the outside in. She seemed to get the brief perfectly as blooms and mosses tumbled in a wild yet stylish way everywhere you looked. Grassington Village Hall was like a chic fairy wonderland!

Absent friends were well remembered and present friends enjoyed the best of times. There was laughter and tears all through the speeches and I didn’t have to pretend to be taking photos because nothing was happening even once!
