Silverholme Manor is a Lake District wedding venue located on the 5,000 acre privately-owned Graythwaite estate in Cumbria. It is easy to access, but also feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere – the best of both worlds!

This 9 bedroom Georgian mansion has been lovingly restored and is carbon-neutral. With a minimum of 3 nights, booking Silverholme Manor means you can enjoy making an extended celebration of your wedding, giving you all time to relax and enjoy everything the area has to offer.

The panoramic patio overlooking the lake is perfect for outdoor ceremonies. At cooler times of the year, or if it’s a bit too rainy, then The Coach House makes a great option.

There are plenty of stunning areas in the grounds of Silverholme Manor for your wedding photos. It is a short wander down to the lake shore and the woodland is very pretty too.

From 18 guests (staying in the 9 bedroom mansion house) up to 200 (marquee/tipi and staying off site – there are 13 cottages on the estate sleeping around 80 in total all under quarter of a mile away from Silverholme).

Yes! As you can see from the photos there is a perfect terrace overlooking the lake which is an ideal spot for your ceremony. Other licensed areas include the lovely detached Coach House and the Drawing Room and Dining Room within the mansion.

The team at Graythwaite will recommend caterers from their suppliers list. Brilliant ones I have experienced there are Karen Rhodes and Foray.

Silverholme Manor is a fabulous wedding venue because it offers both a grand interior with beauitful pockets of light for portraits, right alongside wild outdoor spaces. There is no need to leave the grounds for portraits on your wedding day so you can get the photos you need without missing the party!

Honestly, to say we are blown away would be an understatement!!! They are better than we could have possibly imagined. You have captured every moment in such detail, we couldn’t have wished for more. They are so beautiful and you are incredibly talented.
