AWARD WINNING LAKELAND GOURMET PUB WEDDING VENUE

The Punchbowl Inn in Crosthwaite is, officially, my local! Both my husband and I grew up in the Lyth Valley and moved back after university because we love it so much. Sam’s family still run Crosthwaite House just across the road too.

If you’re looking for a cosy, characterful, typically Lakeland pub with unfeasibly good food, then this might just be the perfect wedding venue for you. Judith, Claudiu and the team are perfect hosts, ensuring everything runs smoothly without being overly formal or stuffy.

For your ceremony you have the choice of either the lovely St.Mary’s Church next door or the cosy restaurant room in the pub itself. Both are great options.

There are lovely backdrops for photos on site (the picturesque winding “Nurse’s Lane” is always popular). I also recommend a short trip offsite with your photographer – there are some great fell and lake options a short drive away.

The Punchbowl has 9 bedrooms – all ensuite. Food wise they can cater for up to 48 table service, and 80 buffet style.

Exclusive use including accommodation from £3495 – £6495. Half day exclusivity for up to 30 people from £995

Yes! The Punchbowl is a cosy, intimate venue, but the restaurant space can be magically cleared for a great dancefloor area!

It’s only 5 minutes down the road!! Only kidding….it is a wonderful venue particularly for smaller weddings of around 45 people. It has such a warm welcome and stunning food that your guests will talk about forever more!

OMG, we have both just absolutely balled our eyes out! My face is still sore from all the smiling!! They are beyond beautiful actually there are no words to describe how amazing they are and that’s the preview.
What a perfect day, we can’t thank you enough, everything was just so perfect from start to finish. You really made us feel so at ease so thank you.
