Wow, where do I start with Merewood Hotel? WHAT a venue this is! Merewood and I go back a looooong and happy way. Before I started doing photography full time I used to work in marketing for Impact International which owns Merewood, as well as Cragwood and Briery Wood.
Because of this I have a million memories of partying and working (probably in that order) within this wonderful building and it’s gorgeous grounds.
Then, of course, there’s all the weddings…which is why you’re probably here. If you’re thinking of choosing Merewood for your wedding day then, well, you SHOULD! It’s got everything going for it! It has an amazing team to look after you – friendly, efficient and good fun too. It has character in abundance – from the dramatic dark woodwork and stained glass of the beautiful stairwell and the roaring fire and ornate mirrors in the cosy Library, to the light and airy feel of the Lonsdale and Piano Lounge with their pretty lighting and huge floor to ceiling windows framing perfect Lakeland views. Equally importantly though, Merewood has the unique ability to flex to the individual style of every couple who celebrate there – it’s as if each wedding makes it shine in a different way.
Whether you’re looking to fill the whole place with throngs of happy partying guests, or planning an intimate elopement just for two, Merewood never fails to please – in any weather and any season too! It is, quite literally, an incredibly accommodating hotel!
