ICONIC LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING VENUE WITH BEATRIX POTTER HISTORY

Lindeth Howe Hotel is a great choice for a wedding venue within walking distance of Bowness on Windermere. Once owned by Beatrix Potter, it really is steeped in literary history and it’s beautiful interior design has a delightfully glamorous bookish feel.

I have photographed many weddings at Lindeth Howe, from Just the Two of Us elopements, to family micro weddings, right up to full scale wedding celebrations.The venue flexes to perfectly accommodate anything from 2 – 120, as do the super friendly staff team, who can quietly and gently look after a tiny private elopement and can also confidently manage a big bustling wedding party.

There are several beautiful reception rooms licensed for wedding ceremonies. My personal favourite is the lounge which opens up onto the gardens on the Lake side of the hotel. It is flooded with flattering natural light, beautifully decorated and just seems to work perfectly in every season.

Lindeth Howe Hotel is very close to Lake Windermere. It is possible to easily walk from the venue down to the Lake, but for ease and timings on a wedding day I would recommended I drive you to the Lake shore for your wedding photos.

There is loads to love about this venue, but I particularly like the friendly staff and the fact that the beautifully decorated indoor spaces are a great backdrop for wedding portraits .
