What exactly ARE video highlights?

Wedding highlight videos are something I began to offer in early 2024 after much careful thought. As the quality of your wedding photos and your experience with me as your photographer is of THE MOST IMPORTANCE I needed to make 100% sure that it was something I could offer without compromise. 

Since then I have successfully produced over 200 highlights videos for my wedding and elopement couples and have loved discovering a whole new world that my camera bag can provide!

Video highlights are now an integral part of my elopement and small wedding packages and come at no extra charge.

A few quick things to note:

I am NOT a videographer and don’t have any intention of becoming one. If video is really important to you, and particularly if you want ANY audio from your day recording – eg vows, readings and speeches, then what I am offering is absolutely not this. I always encourage my clients to book a separate videographer if their budget allows.

My highlight videos are much simpler. They are short clips grabbed between photos set simply to licensed music. They are edited in a custom preset to tie in with my photo style, and a classic B+W version will be provided too. The resulting highlight video from an elopement/tiny wedding will be around 2 minutes.

Photos will always take priority. I will only capture video clips when I feel it won’t compromise the photos I am there to take. This means that I absolutely cannot guarantee capturing every important part of your wedding in moving footage as well as still shots – though I always do my best to get it all!
