Cragwood Wedding Photographer

I don’t like to blow my own trumpet but I may well be the most experienced Cragwood Wedding Photographer ever! Having shot at this venue around 500 times I really do know it inside and out. I’ve looked at the fells from the terrace so many times that I can pretty much tell how long it will take the rain clouds to reach us!

The beautiful grounds are a seasonal show of colour and texture throughout the year. The perfect changing backdrop. I’ve grown to recognise the patterns of the garden throughout the seasons. Correctly guessing which colour will pop up where next is always a joy.

We have hundreds of wedding venues in the Lakes, but not that many that offer both structured stately gardens AND wild lake frontage. Cragwood has both and it’s just a short walk between the two (although it definitely feels steeper on the way back up!). Cragwood also has not just one but TWO private boathouses. The south boathouse with its big painted grey doors is a real must-have for your photos. The north one is a calm little oasis – a less obvious view of the lake but always such pretty muted colours across the little bay.

You won’t find a much friendlier place than Cragwood. I’m lucky to be able to count the team there as my friends. We love to work together to make every single couple have the best wedding day they can.

We held our own wedding reception at Cragwood Hotel way back in 2005, so it holds a special place in my heart. I’ll never forget the happiness of being a Cragwood bride and what a perfect celebration we had.
