Broadoaks Hotel Windermere Weddings

I’ve photographed many, many weddings at the lovely Broadoaks Hotel in Windermere. Despite it’s easy access from the main road it’s perfectly hidden up a little hill heading towards picturesque Troutbeck. A beautiful Arts and Crafts building, Broadoaks is a great option for your wedding with some of the lowest fees for exclusive use packages in the Lakes.

The more recent addition of the Orangery at the rear of the building is a lovely light-filled option for your ceremony and wedding breakfast. I’ve also seem some pretty amazingly full dancefloors in there too!

I think one of my favourite rooms to shoot in at Broadoaks is the Music Room. it has such beautiful detailing in the woodwork and great light for creative portraits and candids.

Broadoaks is one of the higher-volume wedding venues in the Lakes, so often the getting-ready part of the day happens elsewhere before you check in to the venue. I actually quite like having a different location for this as it adds a bit of variety to the photos. If you need help with suggestions for an additional venue just let me know!

As with many venues in the Lakes, there is a lot to be said about fitting in a short trip offsite for portraits. There are lots of pretty backdrops in the gardens at Broadoaks, but if you are after lakeside portraits then I can run you down to a location in about 5 minutes. If you can make space for a little extra portrait time at some point in the day then there are some fell top locations also within a short drive. Please just ask me for advice!
