So this was quite an adventure - in a rare and bizarre sequence of events I left the Lakes for a wedding and had a great time down in the big old smoke of London Town!
Martina and Adam had originally planned on a northern wedding - just 1 minute from my house - but then things changed...I could tell via the power of email that they were simply ace so insisted they take me with them to their new wedding venue....the stunning Asylum & Maverick Projects chapel - a wedding photographer's dream come true!
Everything about this wedding was just so freaking cool - the gothic-esque backdrop, the glowing candles, the shabby glamour, the London skyline lit up around them...so many wonderfully different atmospheres all in one day. I love seeing a freshly wedded couple strolling through the streets, watching the look on people's faces - and what better place than the banks of the Thames see this in action.
The only (tiny!) downside about the whole thing was that this wedding during Lent - and although I'm not particularly religious I'd decided to give up meat and fish....meaning I had to photograph and NOT EAT the amazing namesake canapes at The Oyster Shed...can you even IMAGINE?! Look at those delicious bad boys! I am so going back!!
