People often ask me if I get bored of photographing weddings day in and day out…and the answer is no. One of the things I love about them is their total diversity – the people involved, the light, the style – no two are ever the same.
“Intentional” is not usually the first word that springs to my mind when I’m describing a wedding, but I think it’s an important word if I’m going to tell you about Danica and Dean’s big day...
Danica and Dean’s wedding was meticulously planned and styled, yet full of life. It was glamorous and sedate yet brimming with warmth. It had all the perfection of a styled shoot, yet with the authenticity and emotion that can only come from two people saying “I do”. Danica and Dean are a confident couple, and were quite happy to shun tradition where they didn’t feel it suited them.
They did their couple photos first, then group shots…so that they could enjoy the ceremony (conducted by a close friend) and reception without interruption – clever huh?!
The evening ended with dancing to the wonderful music of Kimm and then smores in the rain, not quite the Floridian style Danica was used to but it was actually just perfect.
