Merewood Elopement Photography – Relaxed Boho Ceremony at this Luxurious Hotel
Amy and Rob had such a perfect little wedding at the Merewood Hotel. Sometimes it just feels as if a couple are ideally matched to their venue. Their colour palette certainly seemed to co-ordinate perfectly. They chose The Library for their intimate ceremony and it entirely suited them.
The lighting in the Library can be a little trickier for photographs than some of the other lighter rooms at Merewood. The dark romance of it is, however, stunning. The ornate mirror is great for some creative shots. It has a sleek, moody, stately home vibe, quite different from the lighter Piano Lounge next door. If you’re choosing The Library for your ceremony I’d recommend chatting to your photographer and registrars just beforehand to make sure you are facing the right way to get the best shots. If not you could end up in shadow for a lot of the them!
After celebratory drinks and some photos in the hotel and gardens we nipped down to Millerground for a few lakeside photos. I always think it’s worth fitting in a trip down to lake with your wedding photographer. It really does give a different element to your record of the day. It feels special somehow to nip out briefly into the “normal” world and provide a bit of excitement for the dog walkers and wild swimmers!
