Micro Wedding at Storrs Hall
Late autumn elopement wedding on the shores of Windermere
GEMMA | JOE
This Storrs Hall micro wedding is a perfect example of how to elope in style. Gemma and Joe bossed it with luxurious details, a range of top local suppliers and a laid back but carefully considered vibe.
Sam from Free Range Floristry described the style perfectly as being on the cusp of autumn-meets-winter. Gemma’s beautiful green satin dress hinted towards festive December just around the corner, but the gloriously bright blooms gave a last hurrah to autumn.
Despite the forecast for rain we were treated to the best of the Lakes – stormy skies with flashes of bright sun – and even a rainbow! Storrs Hall is such a wonderful backdrop for your wedding photographs. You an either stay in the main hotel with its grand stately-home prestige, or you can opt for the hidden away privacy of one of the lakeside suites and boathouses. Gemma and Joe rented the boathouse for their wedding stay and this meant we had an extra beautiful area for their photographs. I always think eloping is a bit like successfully combining a wedding and honeymoon, and accommodation like this certainly gives that feel.
Thank you Gemma and Joe for choosing me to photograph your perfect Micro Wedding in the Lakes, it was an absolute joy!
