Don’t worry. I’m used to being greeted with mixed feelings. Most people feel very uncomfortable about having a camera thrust in their face and being told to smile!

Getting a good picture of someone - whether it be a corporate headshot for a website or a family portrait – draws on my social skills as much as my technical skills.

Like the rest of my work, my approach is professional yet informal. There’s an art to getting people to relax in front of the camera, and if you get it right it pays off. Many of my clients actually admit that, despite their reservations, they enjoyed the photo session, and even had fun!

I never outsource any of my post-production - all of my work is carefully hand-edited in my Lake District studio.
