Cote How Elopement Photography: Intimate Autumn Wedding

Oh Jo and Fred, what an absolute joy you were to photograph! This was probably the most emotional ceremony I’ve ever been a part of. I should really tag Maybelline for creating mascara that survived it!

What a joy my job is. And what a privilege to get to intimately share in the lives of so many different people. In the last couple of years, probably more than ever, I’ve met some couples whose relationships have survived the most unbelievable challenges, and some who are still wading through tough times. To pop into their wedding bubble and celebrate all of the good that they still have space for is truly magical.

I also love it when a couple just seem to perfectly suit their chosen venue. This was certainly the case with these guys and Cote How. Caroline, Steve and Sophie always do a perfect job of looking after their couples, making sure they have everything they need INCLUDING privacy. They get the balance just right. Their family home is generously shared as a perfect Lakeland wedding and elopement venue. It’s in a flipping unrivalled location just a stone’s throw from Rydal Water, a short wander up to the caves, and a waddle over the bridge to a great pub too! It literally has everything you need for a perfect Lake District ceremony in any weather and any season.

Jo and Fred opted for a 90 minute package, which works great for a tiny wedding. It’s enough to cover the ceremony and relaxed portraits before I head off and you continue your celebrations and enjoy the rest of your wedding day.
