Hidden River Cabins Photography: Luxury Modern Wedding Barn

Hidden River is a bit of a trek for me. I’m lucky to mainly be able to shoot pretty much on my doorstep in the Lakes, and these cabins are up north of Carlisle so pretty much fall into destination wedding territory! I will always jump at the chance of a wedding at this venue though. It’s so flipping lovely for wedding photography!

I first shot back here in 2018, long before the fabulous Wedding Barn was created. I instantly fell in love with this venue, which offers something so different to everywhere else in the Lakes. Back then it was perfect for smaller log cabin based weddings, with the luxury of hot tubs and acres of private estate. Today it still offers those options but also has the benefit of a huge and absolutely flipping stunning Wedding Barn. Now it can cater for big, lively parties of up to 250 too!

There’s no need to venture far off site here. There are plenty of options for photos down by the river, in the ancient woodlands and also up at the pretty tree-lined road from Longtown. If you’re after a rustic wedding venue with all the creature comforts then definitely check out Hidden River!

The Wedding Barn is also beautiful for your evening celebrations. It’s reclaimed wood panelling works amazingly with millions of fairy lights. It has such a cosy, stylish feel, and plenty of space to party the night away. The food is also 100% worthy of a mention. Whether you opt for a smaller wedding reception in the Cafe, or a full spread in the Barn, the cooking is always spot on!
