Cragwood Family Wedding – Cute and Intimate Gathering on the Shores of Windermere

I love a Cragwood Family Wedding – so much so that we had one ourselves 17 years ago!

It was so nice to finally meet Marga and James – their teeny tiny Cragwood family wedding was thrown up in the air by Covid chaos and it felt like it took a long time to finally land! Throughout all of the Covid reschedules (I think I dealt with about 150 altogether) I felt particularly sorry for those couples who had only ever had small plans. It seemed so unfair!

Anyway, I am pleased to report that it couldn’t have been a more perfect day for them! The early spring sunshine might not have been quite as warm as Marga’s hometown Valencia but it shone nonetheless. This was one of my first outdoor ceremonies of the year. It’s always lovely to have an outdoor Cragwood family wedding. It feels so free and open, filled with birdsong and breeze. It’s always great for children too as there is space for them to run around if they need to!

After celebratory drinks and a few group photos we then made our way down to the lake. I love the colours in very early spring. They are still so pretty and muted, making for flattering backdrops that enhance rather than compete. It’s always nice to have a bit of a breeze down there too. I love the combination of sedate, classic photos up at the hotel then a more wild feel at the lake shore.

Congratulations you two, I’m so glad you finally had the day of your dreams!
