I think it took about 5 seconds for me to fall in love with Jeanette and Al. This was a "proper local" wedding and there were so many familiar faces from different happy chapters of my life. The weather, which was mixed, was met with a good old Cumbrian consensus that it "cudda bin a lot worse, like". We adventured down to the pretty little church at Longsleddale, then meandered (via a detour to the family farm) over to the hidden gem that is Shaw End Mansion - a fabulous stately home full of character. This was my first Yurt wedding and it was brilliant - lovely and light and a great lay out for both partying and photographing!
Jeanette's dress was stunning. The intricate lace details, the simple neckline and the buttons down the back...it looked beautifully elegant paired with peep toed shoes for the ceremony, but the red wellies just made it for me! Add in the pop of red umbrellas, delicate flower bouquets and thoughtful touches of decor at the venue and the result was a truly picture perfect wedding!
