Lake District Micro Wedding
Intimate Micro Wedding at Merewood Hotel
SABRINA | DAVID
A micro wedding at Merewood Country House Hotel was the perfect choice for Sabrina and David. Autumn is such a beautiful time in the Lakes and often seems to bring days of mixed weather, which are my favourite as flashes of bright sun against stormy rain filled clouds really are the perfect backdrop.
Sabrina and David chose the Drawing Room at Merewood for their ceremony. Always filled with natural light even on a dark day, it has pretty, light decor and great views over Lake Windermere. It also has a lovely piano but I’ve never heard anyone play this for a ceremony which is a shame! I can bang out a patchy version of Moonlight Sonata should anyone ever wish!
After their ceremony and a few candids and group shots it was time to make the most of the stunning interior of the hotel for some portraits before heading down to the lake. It’s always my preference to work in this way, as doing the indoor shots first means your hair and make up stay picture perfect as long as possible.
A trip down to Millerground made for some lovely wild elopement photographs wandering through the woods. We finished the shoot with photos on the jetty where Sabrina’s veil decided to put on a perfect performance!
If you’re looking for a photographer for your Merewood elopement or micro wedding you can check out some of my work there on my Merewood Venue Guide page. Sabrina’s hair and make up was by the lovely Gemma.
